Book Summary: “Manage Your Day-To-Day…Build Your Routine, Find Your Focus & Sharpen Your Creative Mind.” By “99U”
What’s it all about?
Powerful insights into optimizing your day-to-day rhythms so you can rethink how you do what you do.
Top 3 Take-Aways
The Building Blocks of a Great Daily Routine:
1. Start with the rhythm of your energy levels – Do your most creative work when your energy is high.
2. Use creative triggers – Do certain things the same way, same place, same vibe, etc.
3. Manage to-do list creep – don’t add to many things to your daily to-dos. If you do, your motivation will plummet.
4. Capture every commitment – write it down. That way you can focus on one thing at a time.
5. Establish hard edges in your day – Use start and finish times.
Consider, however, the opportunity cost of spending your life only on pragmatics. You dedicate your time to pleasing everyone else and delivering on their expectations, but you never get around to discovering your deeper aptitudes and creative capacities. Nothing is worth that.
Our bodies follow what are known as ultradian rhythms-ninety-minute periods at the end of which we reach the limits of our capacity to work at the highest level.
Top 3 Thought Provoking Quotes
“At the end of the day-or, really, from the beginning-building a routine is all about persistence and consistency. Don’t wait for inspiration; create a framework for it.”
“Creative work first, reactive work second…The single most important change you can make in your working habits is to switch to creative work first, reactive work second. This means blocking off a large chunk of time every day for creative work on your own priorities, with the phone and e-mail off.”
“You can’t TRY to do things, you must simply DO them.”

Why Not Everybody Can Be a ChiroTrust Member and Why Not Everyone Can Be Your Patient… PLUS AN EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT!
Members,
On page 17 of the book Starting With Why, author Simon Sinek talks about the most popular sales and marketing strategy there is: MANIPULATION. He writes:
“When companies or organizations do not have a clear sense of why their customers are their customers, they tend to rely on a disproportionate number of manipulations to get what they need. And for a good reason. Manipulations work.”
He goes on to expand on the major types of manipulations which include
Price, Promotions, Fear, Aspirations, Peer Pressure, and Novelty and how manipulations lead to transactions, not loyalty.
Along with All Marketers Tell Stories by Seth Godin, I highly recommend that you read Start With Why.
So, WHY am I telling you this?
Because ChiroTrust is through with its “3 Months Free” promotions to manipulate and attract new members. It has worked too well. We’ve attracted too many D.C.s and too many wrong D.C.s. Yes, some D.C.s can’t be helped.
Just imagine what would happen to your practice if you offered patients “3 months free”! Exactly.
In place of this promotion, we will be raising the membership fee with no “free trial”.
How will this impact you?
It won’t, at least not in a negative way. Current members (like yourself) will NOT have their membership fee raised. As long as you are in good standing and maintain your membership without interruption, your fee remains the same.
Additionally, more effort will be focused on new and improved ways of marketing your practice for you as well as what you can do to attract better quality customers too.
Bottom line, soon you, your patients, the general public, and this profession we call “Chiropractic” will notice how exclusive and special ChiroTrust and your office really is.
So stay tuned, continue to do your part, and as always, thank you for your support!
Ben
P.S.- I will be re-evaluating my ChiroTrust working “IN” and working “ON” activities. If I have to make some painful decisions to best serve you, I will. So like your life and practice, expect some subtle ChiroTrust tweaks in the horizon.

Important Message To All ChiroTrust Members…
Just wanted to share with you how I can be of more value to both you and your practice.
60-110 D.C.s join ChiroTrust per month and even though they come to us at different stages of their career, with different points of view, in different financial situations, etc., ChiroTrust can and does help each and every one of them.
…but at least 50% of all of our members are missing out.
They are not “Checking In” with me. That’s okay, but not ideal.
Even if it takes you a week or two to get through and you have to keep calling back, even if you have to painfully listen to me talk to a member or two before it’s your turn, and even if you have to pass your question to your staff and have them call me on your behalf, I make it worth it.
If you just joined and came to ChiroTrust barely breaking even, or if you’ve been with me for over a decade and think that you already know what I’m going to tell you… no matter how great things are going for you, check in.
I know how to actively listen. I know what questions to ask. I will give you my opinion (at no additional cost) of what I would do if I were in your shoes regarding the “what, how, and when” stuff (Provided you pass the “Why?” test first 🙂 )
I can help you get through the complexities that will always accompany growth.
So do try to check in. Even if it’s once a quarter.
You never know what I might say that will make all the difference in the world for you.
Love you all,
Ben
